Calgary University Dojo Location

Sessions are held in Campus Recreation, Kinesiology Building, University of Calgary.

Campus Recreation is located in the Kinesiology building, on the west side of campus. When in the building, you must present your ID at the Equipment Room (Kinesiology Building A-104, see map) to obtain a wristband to access any of the facilities. Click here for a map. The University of Calgary is located just off 24th /32nd Ave NW, between Crowchild Tr. (Brentwood Mall) and Shaganappi Tr. (Market Mall). You may enter the University campus from both 24th and 32nd Ave.

Parking

Visitor Parking
If you are entering campus on the north side, parking is available10,11 and 12. There are also meter lots (9, 16) on the north side of the Olympic Oval. If you are coming from the south, lot 3 would be the closest for both drop-off and parking. Lot 3 has meter parking as well as evening/weekend parking. The Arts Parkade, south of the Kinesiology Complex, has evening and weekend parking as well. Morning and evening annual parking passes (for general public and Alumni annual members only) are available. Inquire at the Campus Recreation main office.

Meters
Meters are available for short term parking needs at a variety of locations on Campus.

Paylots
Mon to Fri day-time hours. There are 4 paylots available these are lots 10, 11, 22, and 32. All paylots operate on a per-entry basis.ParkadesThere are two Parkades available for Public Parking, MacEwan Students' Centre and The Art Parkade.

• MacEwan Students' Centre Parkade is a 140 stall underground facility in the Centre of Campus.
• The Art Parkade is a 5 story structure with 1260 stalls.
• MacEwan Student Centre is an underground parking structure.

Carleton University Dojo Location

The Carleton University Jiu Jitsu dojo is in the Combatives Room of the Athletics facility. Here is a detailed campus map - the dojo is in the Combatives Room on the second floor of Building 8, but you have to go to the main Athletics Building (Building 9) to enter the facility. Directions (from Kingston, Peterborough or Toronto)

Take the 417 East to Bronson Ave exit (). At traffic lights turn right (south) onto Bronson Ave. Continue to Carleton University (Sunnyside Ave is on the left) and turn right at the traffic lights into the university (University Drive). The road bends to the left. Turn left at the stop sign and park at one of the meters (weekends free, weeknights expensive). The dojo is in the Combatives Room of the Athletics Centre.

Gladstone Dojo Location

The Gladstone Jiu Jitsu dojo is located in downtown Ottawa at:

Directions (from Kingston, Peterborough or Toronto)

Take the 417 East to Kent Street exit (). Continue on Kent St under the bridge. Turn right on Gladstone Ave (4 blocks). The dojo is on the right just after Bank Street (you'll see the large Ly's Taekwon-Do sign). Parking is either on the street (metered and non-metered spaces) or in the parking lot just before the club.

Directions from Ottawa

Enter into Peterborough on Highway 7 -- which becomes Lansdowne Street. Turn right on George Street (lights), and proceed north on George. The road turns to become Water Street. Proceed north on Water. Turn left on Brock Street, cross George Street and park in the Brock Street parking lot (across from Price Chopper). Walk north through the back of the parking lot. The YMCA is on the corner of George and Murray Streets.

Directions from Toronto

Exit Highway 115/28 at the Parkway. Follow the Parkway (across Lansdowne -- McDonalds Restaurant) to the end. Turn right on Clonsilla Avenue. Clonsilla takes a turn to the right and becomes Charlotte. Take Charlotte Street into downtown. Turn left on Aylmer Street, proceed three blocks north to Brock, turn right, park on the Brock Street parking lot (north). Walk north through the back of the parking lot. The YMCA is on the corner of George and Murray Streets.

Directions from Ottawa

Enter into Peterborough on Highway 7 -- which becomes Lansdowne Street. Turn right on George Street (lights), and proceed north on George. The road turns to become Water Street. Proceed north on Water until Trent University (on right). Turn right onto Nassau Mills Road and then left before the bridge. The Athletics Complex is on the right after the long curve.

Directions from Ottawa

From Lansdowne Street, go past George St (the usual turning for Trent/YMCA) and turn right into Park St. Continue north on Park St as it turns into Rubidge St. Turn left onto Murray St and then left onto Reid St. The dojo is in the school at the corner of Reid and Brock. Park in the parking lot at the back of the school. There is a small sign above the door of the dojo.

Directions from Toronto

From Lansdowne Street, turn left into Park St (before George St, the usual turning for Trent/YMCA). Continue north on Park St as it turns into Rubidge St. Turn left onto Murray St and then left onto Reid St. The dojo is in the school at the corner of Reid and Brock.
